sPeCiAl Folks ~ Those with Mad Talent ~ The Little White Guy wants to be a movie star

Be yourself. An original is always worth more than a copy.
Sometimes it's the littlest of things that make the biggest impact for me each day.
A little thing like going junkin' one Saturday with the gals ~ We met the most amazing gals.
Those kinds of gals that have Mad Talent.
There is Mad Talent most anywhere you just have to step back and recognize
that it is what it is.
You'll notice I've changed my play list around this morning ~ to recognize some of those folks with this kind of talent ~ David Archuleta, Adam Lambert & Kris Allen just to name a few.
Now, if you are reading this post you will notice right away there are others with Mad Talent apparant in all they do. A couple of these gals are part of the ones I met on that junkin' trip that Saturday. I'd love to tell you about them. Do you happen to know the 2chippys? Laurie & LuLu ~ they possess that Mad Talent that astounds me, even after all these years in my business of bliss. Oh, I've heard lots over the years about these girls.... I see now why there such good friends with many of you ~ like Time Worn Interiors, Theresa.
By now you must know that anytime my friend the camera comes out in our home,
there is this precious little white guy named Sebastian that has to be the center
of all our photographs.
Think maybe he wants to be a movie star... what a ham.
Sebastian, what are you wearing ~ is that my......
original LuLu 2chippys Junk Necklace?

This is ~ LuLu ~ this wild & somewhat crazy lady will do most anything to make us laugh.
Mad Talent ~ It's in there ~ apparent in all that she touches.
I am know the proud owner of one of her many Original Junk Necklaces.
It's around my neck ~ to wear proudly. One she made just for me...
See Cyndi~ ByLightOfMoon mine does
have bling.... & of course... diamonds ~!

My new junk necklace is a favored possession ~ only had it a few days but unlike all those gold & sterling pieces that will be sold today at the village ~ my necklace will not be. For any price ~ it's just all mine to treasure. Did you want to see?

With so many junks (not really) ~ it's hard to get into one picture.
Cyndi ~ do you see all my green & blue diamonds ~ they are very rare.

So, I tried a different background ~ my counter top. Do you see all the junk pieces?

Then it hit me ~ it's a 2chippys ~ so I'll take pictures in my chippy wheelbarrow out front.
Just for you LuLu ~ chippy enough for you? It's one of my fav's in the garden.
I may even like it better than all those pretty posies.
Not the necklace ~ the chippy wheelbarrow.

Had to shoo the little crow away who was pecking at my junk jewels...

We all cherish those things favorite. For me, a new junk necklace from my new friend LuLu ~ 2chippys. My next purchase or should I say neck purchase ~ will be a Laurie ~ 2chippys necklace. These gals have every ounce of that mad talent we all wish for. You haven't met them? Make that a priority ~ I hope with each visit to their spot that some of their mad talent will jump out and land on my shoulder ~ they are amongst my fav's to shop with & to covet my junk purchases from.

Junk Tour ~ The Charm House ~ 20th of Each Month

Goodness Gracious Sakes Alive...
Junkin' ~ well that is my middle name.
~Junkin' Tour by The Charm House 20th of Each Month~
So, Yvette you know that I am fairly new to blogging this little blog was just started
in January of this year. Therefor, I just learned to use this new friend~ my camera.
So, I'm limited in what you can see on where I junk. But wanting to participate today~
here goes. If you are a junker at heart, you can find a place to junk where ever you end up.
I am hooked, it's in my blood. Whether a goodwill, salvation army, thrift stores in general are amongst my favorites. Taking someones cast offs ~ to find a charming way to re purpose them in my home or the antique store I co~own. I've shopped all over the US ~ and love the thrill of the hunt no matter where I end up. Junk can always be found.

This time each year my junkin' turns to other places for treasures.
Posies ~ just last week a trip to Growers Outlet in Loganville, Georgia.
Have you been there?
This too is a favorite place for me. Finding those perfect posies, ferns, hanging baskets, vegetables, herbs... all to accent our homes or even our Antiques & Collectibles stores.
I would highly recommend this place to any junker ~ make your patio, screen porch, yard all glow in the blooming seasons. My porch looks so much more quaint when
I add everything I find here. Vintage concrete pieces, architectural or even my cloche collection that lives outdoors ~ need this touch to showcase our collectibles.

See, all the choices you can select from? Truly a collectors hunt.

Now, another of my favorite places to junk ~ yes, Vintage Village.
Offering the wares of over 50 dealers this store packed to the
brim with charm is a place you can find anything your heart desires.
I know, I am an owner ~ but no joke. Much of the wares in my home that add those special vintage touches has come from this fabulous junkin' delight.
You can also find The Charm House wares ~ and they are special additions right when you walk in our door. Come see, you won't be disappointed. Right, Country Chintz ~ Sassy Trash, ask them they will tell you. The hunt is always my focus ~ so here, at work I can find most anything I need for home or my garden ~ and don't forget gifts for your "junkin" friends.

I will make it a priority to take pictures on my Junkin' Tour's next time I am out. To share with all of you. If you are a junker by heart ~ you can always find treasures no matter the place. Yesterday, my sweet hubby and I were at Lakewood 400 ~ came home with bags from there too. Wait til you see my special Junk Necklace ~ I'll share it with you this week ~ a Lulu ~ 2chippy's original.

One Man's Trash is Always an Other's Treasure.

Stacey came to the village ~ It's her birthday weekend. Happy Birthday Sweet Darling Niece

What do we live for if not to make life less difficult for each other?
-George Eliot

Stacey my darling sweet precious niece who I've told you much about came to the village on Saturday. It's the weekend before her birthday ~ April 21 so they loaded up their family and drove 10+ hours from Clearwater, Florida to visit with family. Look how cute they are. Brett of course ~ he's her man & their three 4 legged children ~ Trigger, Ace & Coco.

Trigger made the trip with no worries. He has a fort set up in the back of Stacey's sport utility with his siblings. Oh, but Ace wasn't happy back there ~ most of his time was spent on Stacey's lap sleeping on their long drive. I think he's the baby boy of the bunch, not really but he tends to think so. Their first stop was lunch with Nannie, and I got a take out bag from her lunch ~ yummy. Great sandwiches, chips, dip and even Key Lime Cake ~ Stacey's favorite.
Nannie had that special for her ~ birthday cake with candles to blow out.
Then off to the village ~ to see aunt hag ma (me).

Cute... don't you think they are all cute?

left to right... Trigger, Stacey, Brett, Ace & Coco. All sweeties, all with hearts of gold, all that work hard, all that love to play. Yes, that is all correct. Brett & Stacey do work very hard at their jobs. Brett, he's a chef at a resort in Clearwater, think I should go taste all that he cooks there. Of course, the pups work hard at getting to go to the beach dog park & getting their treats. I'm sure Stacey works hard at her job as well as keeping everyone
happy at home.
They all do their parts for sure.

We had an outstanding time together at the village. They met some of the great & wonderful village gals, got a tour that included garden spots ~ what fun.
Wish they were always close to home so these visits could happen more often.
In the meantime, we will take every chance we get to chat a bit & catch up.
Delighted they were here ~ so glad we had some time together. So glad for this special little family in my life ~ they are part of the fun crowd.

Happy Birthday Sweetie Pie ~ you are deserving of every good thing life sends your way.

Coco ~ the latest addition to their family was a rescue. Stacey picked her up on the road when her family moved and left her alone. See, heart of gold ~ right? She has adjusted to life with the 4 legged boys ~ siblings. She has adjusted to her new beach life.
She is just like her Mom, Stacey a cutie pie.

Next trip, Sweetness ~ you'll be leaving on a jet plane from Tampa to help Aunt Hag Ma with Lindsey's wedding. We have many jobs for you... a stay in our cabin ~ the North Georgia Mountains await our visit. I'm sure we will leave our mark ~ Lindsey's wedding promises to be filled with much fun. Just wait. We are all thrilled we have more time together real soon.

Now, have you registered for my first giveaway yet... what are you waiting for?
100th post giveaways only happen once.
You have until the 26th of April ~ to get your name in the hag hat. Yes, LuLu (2chippys)~ your name is already in that hamper ~ oh, my junk necklace awaits I remember.
I'm on my way to Lakewood 400 today to get that special order from Lulu.

We're playing in the dirt ~ Gardens abundant at the "Village"

It's important to have a plan, a big picture.
You can deviate from it or change it completely,
but it gives you something to work for.

With the help of many of my "buds" ~ Carlique, Flower Wower, Whimsy, Lbi and North
there will be abundant gardens this year at the "village"... antiques, collectibles & more...
our more this year, a big garden plan.
The Village gardens will include a water garden in the vintage tub above.
An herb garden.
Hydrangea's, Lilly's, succulents, knock out rose bushes, perennials... why, we have it all
we've been playing in our dirt these past few weeks.
Bud's it looks amazing... & we've only just begun. Our big picture will include inspiration
inside & out when you visit the village this spring, summer & fall.

Did I mention Organic Vegetables... we have those planted too.
I can hardly wait for a juicy tomato sandwich.
North came back to take a peak yesterday.
This spot is the "Village Shack Veggie Garden Pit".

I backed the junk wagon in to plant plant plant on Thursday.
We have tomato's, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, squash (two types), carrots,
watermelon, cantaloupe, peppers (lots of those) ~ dill, onions, mint ~ oh, la la...
fresh vegetables. We might even share. My junk wagon has been a dirt, plant, garden tool
hauler this week. It's been a blast. Dirty clothes and all.

Every amazing thing that happens in the dirt has taken place this week.
Can't wait for you to see. There are many more pictures coming your way...
maybe tomorrow & Sunday, too.
Now, I am having a giveaway that you must register for. I've found it very difficult to have that as the focus this week on this little blog.
I'm a giver, and always enjoy giving those special things...
don't get me wrong just seems that there is so much to share about our goings on.
Just scroll down a bit, or what the heck... just leave a comment here and I'll grab your name
and put it in the "hag hat" right away.
