As Promised ~ More Village Pictures.... Enjoy ~ Guess What I'll be doing on a few blogs?

Yesterday was just one of those days that wasn't as planned what so ever.
Cleaned "Nannies" ~ then home for office clean up ~ catch up on paperwork ~
the dreaded taxes finished ~ David time.
Instead all of that I managed to accomplish was to clean "Nannies" ~ we had a great
sub for lunch and her TV is on the fritz so David took off to look for a new one ~ we
too go a new Vizio television on Sunday ~ our Samsung was the worst....
anyway back to my story ~
ended up at the "shack out back" cleaning with ~hag 2 we did carpets, general outside cleanup gave the "shack pack" some stuff to use ~ a microwave/coffee pot/broom you know "extras". Today, I'll take pictures of their progress.
Did end the day with the best meal ever ~ homemade spaghetti ~ my darling Italian husband made the sauce from scratch ~ just plain y~u~m. Sometimes our days take a much
different direction than we plan ~ just learn to roll with it ~ make the next day a bit different to accomplish all you have to.
Before I show you the rest of the "village" pictures from Monday ~ wanted to tell you about a few things that this ~hag will be doing or already has done.

Quite possibly the "cutest apron" ever ~ and all you have to do is register.
"Polka Dot Barn" is giving this away ~ my name is already in the pot.
So head on over, check out this dynamic blog and enter your name ~
I have my fingers and toes crossed for this "giveaway". The deadline is April 6 ~
so go now...

"The Charm House" has "What I collect" on the 15th of each month ~
I've already posted once ~ but will be a regular on this collection day.
I find it easy to come up with something creative to collect ~ and as usual,
forgot to share some of my collections originally.
Sign up with her ~ so we can see what you collect.... Fun had by all~! You will need
to stop in and shop in her new space at the "village" too ~ creative terrific wares.

~one vintage hag (me) also has a giveaway upcoming, don't stay away too long this is post 89 only 11 to go. Another Surprise upcoming as well ~ but I can't tell that quite yet.

Now, on with those pictures you've been waiting for. Monday continued shots of the "village". Have you noticed I don't photograph entire spaces ~ our dealers are proud of what they do so in order to keep their booths individual ~ i never photograph the entire spot.

Check out this darling "chick" in the chair ~
understand she came from a recent California Trip.
Mmg spot.

Now, the Sam/Braves booth offers anything you would ever wish for ~ especially "smalls".
You won't believe that all the pack in this spot.

CCR's have a darling toile cabinet ~ it might be a small wardrobe,
"The Painted Nest" ~ Deborah would like this pretty red piece.

Lslb ~ has the cutest "bunnies" ~ I adore this little fellow.

"If Friends Were Flowers I'd pick you" ~ needlepoint pillow.
Why "Ratso" we already picked you ~ you're a keeper.

More "pretties" in the Tlw spot.

and again... in the Lew's place...actually that is "Lynn's Little Extras"

very interesting finds on Dari's counter. Remember, she is the one with history on the tags.
All you would ever want to know about these "Need This Antiques".

~hag's spot glimpse I've learned where to get the best stuff. Thanks Girls~!

Mmg's darling red china cabinet ~ here is the "red" again "Deborah".

It's a new day ~ new opportunities. I'll be going to the "village" shortly. Have lots to do.
Stacey (the precious niece) sent me some new pictures that I will share sometime soon ~ she is making her way in grand style. Writing her a fun letter next.
And, a surprise ~ okay, you will get that tomorrow so stop by this little blog to see.
until then... ~one vintage hag

Home at Last ~ The Charm House "Coming Soon ~ I'll be back really soon to really blog ~ I've missed the blog.

So, I assume you heard our "surprise"... while I was away~
"The Charm House"
to join our pack of talented ladies sometime next week.
We are thrilled ~ can't wait to have her super creative art
as a part of our big picture.
"Welcome Yvette" ~ We are honored to have you as part of the "village family".

Now as most of you know, my "Man" had his surgery this week.
We are finally back home together ~ with a little help from
"Sebastian" ~ and Clayton we're going to make it happen.
Recovery ~ Happening now at the ~hag home.
Lindsey has been sick with Bronchitis this week ~ so we've been worried about her
too ~ can only be in one place at a time ~ but we still carry so much
concern for Our Children ~ no matter their ages.
A "speedy recovery" balloon ~ one of David's hospital room decorations
that came home with us today.
Nannie got him this way cool turtle ~
Whimsy, tell Hilary, David got a "turtle"...

Little One ~ move over, we have to make room for "Daddy" when he
can climb all those steps... maybe not today. But soon, I just know it.
Funny how pets always know something isn't quite right ~ Sebastian has
shown much concern for his "favorite" since we arrived home this afternoon.
In our home, the "boys club" rules ~!
"If any moment could last forever let it be this one"
Glad I have the "Man" back in the nest, much easier to "cuddle" at home.
I'll be back soon ~ with some "village juice" ~ can't wait to work a little tomorrow.
Back to the Dr. in the a.m. to get rid of some "new found healing friends" ~
that will make life easier for us at home.
"God doesn't give you the people you want,
He gives you the people you NEED - To help you, to hurt you,
to leave you, to love you and to
make you into the person you were meant to be."
A special reminder from a "Nannie" email today to all of you that we have needed.
Your care, concern & love is appreciated more than you will ever know.
Thank you
for being there when we needed it "most".
my new hat... a "nurse" ~ he's awake so I've got to run... ~ one vintage hag

Tour of Collections ~"What I Collect"~ Trinkets & Tresures by: "The Charm House"

So, "The Charm House" wanted to know "What I collect" on March 16...
I'm delighted to show all of you. So, here goes...
"Trinkets & Treasures" at the home of the "mr & mrs. ~one vintage hag"

Vintage Pottery ~ vintage matte finish & some gloss finish ~ White/Off White Pottery...

Pottery... Pottery & more Pottery ~ all "vintage"

Not, a great shot... but there's another at the bottom of the post that's better...
I have shelves all the way around our "family room" ~ David did for me.
They are packed ~ loaded ~ weighed down by vintage white pottery &
vintage alarm clocks...

Tougher but my lovely collection ~ "piano liars" ~ now, three total.
All different & unique up placed up high with Vintage Ironstone Lids.
Another, favorite collection...

There are 12 vintage ironstone lids so far... with three vintage piano liars.

I adore "signs" - you might say... oh, so you collect ~motivational ones ~ not really,
I'm full of motivation already ~ just some "life reminders" as I like to call them...
This one in the kitchen. Another, in the hall "Its a Wonderful Life...." ~truly, it is.

Vintage Bristol Crown Ducal ~ Red Transfer Ware China
Started this collection when I got my "Nana's" ~ these were her
"everyday dishes...." So, far 138 pieces. Adore this pattern.
Use it everywhere and to "eat on" for special occasions.

Vintage Red Transfer Ware Sugar Bowls ~ without their lids....
These adorn my guest bath downstairs ~ love the ones I have
in the little metal cupboard. This one "my newest"... big one, thanks "My Vintage Heart" ~
she finds the "coolest old stuff" to help me add to many "collections".

See, I'm filling this cool vintage metal cabinet in the bathroom ~
with vintage red transfer ware sugar bowls w/out the lids...
more there than you can see,
its a tight place to photograph ~ so this picture shows you the "most".

David ~ "mr. one vintage hag" has collections in our home too,
this one Lady Lladro Figurines.. some interesting ones...
a few other lady figurines live in our home too ~ some Older Goebel Ones ~
and some Lenox Ladies.

letter "d's" ~ an obvious collection ~ "david & debbie"

for the "seasons" ~ little "mica & putz houses" ~have more of those with Vintage Seasonal
Annalee's & a great vintage bottle brush tree collections at Christmas time... All packed up now ~ but have a few for each season ~ trees, houses a few new, but mostly older ones.

here you go ~ a better picture of my little old alarm clocks with more vintage pottery~
this on the opposite side of the room... (see, "mvh" when you came by at Christmas) ~
it was all of mr. hag's Christmas In The City Villages....
I've promised you could see... and you can, come by anytime but for today a glimpse.

Rainy in Georgia today... so, no luck with pictures of my new "cloche" collection outside on the patio. And, a couple new "collection idea's" for our "little home" ~ the obvious
that many like Time Worn Interiors collects "Butter Pats" & I think that I may begin a
collection of "soaps" ~ from the places we visit... for the Master Bath in a "big fat glass jar".
I have several cool clear glass jars another collection as well... forgot to picture those. When we downsized a couple years ago, I had to pick my favorites... sold, the rest to "good homes" because there used to be many many more.
I've been delighted to participate with The Charm House in "What I collect".
So, on a final note ~ You know "Webster" would define a "collection" as ~
col·lec·tion (kə lek′s̸hən)
noun
the act or process of collecting
things collected, specif., as in a hobby a collection of stamps
a mass or pile; accumulation
money collected, as during a church service
I on the other hand define a "Collection" in a different way...
A "house" is a "house" or in our case a "condo" ~ once you add the occupants
character ~ in the things you "love" ~ you add the collections of the occupants, us ~
its becomes "home" ~ without any particular defined style - just "home".
Don't have a "collection"? ~ Goodness Gracious ~ Start one... right away...
You'll be so happy you did~!
Thank you "Yvette" ~ I've loved this idea & participating.
Now, for the rest of my "day" ~ I have to leave our "home" ~ Its the "Evening Gold Buy Event" at the "village" ~ my list is a long one for that. Exciting~!
And, today is "Wren's" Birthday... A dealer in our shop ~I've mentioned her before...
I'll take her a "cup cake"....
"Today ~ Wren you are the star of the show... hope you birthday is packed with surprises"
Tomorrow & Saturday.... a "fun day trips" junk-in with some "buds" ~
wait til you see our vehicles...
have enjoyed sharing a "part" of what makes me... ~one vintage hag

~one vintage hag's roller coaster ride... Did you see the "Post" on "The Charm House" ~ Special Aunt & Uncle..

"One of the most courageous things you can do is identify yourself, know who you are, what you believe in and where you want to go."

Can you say.... "emotional week" ~ well that is what I've had.
Oh, I know "many" might think I'm crazy right about now...
really, I'm not... just every emotion under the sun this week.

Although, still some "out of order" pictures... blogger isn't cooperating this morning. Although,
to begin with the wrong versions of songs were selected...
I'll get it right, be patient with me.

First, Let's chat about "reconnecting" first... I was thrilled to see "Sonya" & "Yvette" ~
did you happen to see her very special post on "Vintage Village"?
Wow, that's all "wow" ~ what wonderful "ladies" ~ yes, from my younger years...
Hope that you all will come by often for visits with us at the "village".
I thank you for your very special "words" ~Yvette~!

With her permission ~ I borrowed a picture. Good one if she could have
enhanced the way "hag" looked... I will hold on to the memory of Friday forever.
Now, I also listened to most of her music... and, yes it's
"feel good" (another emotion too..) ~ so I
borrowed some of her favorites just for a few days...

Thank you ~ "The Charm House".

Special visit on Friday ~ Aunt Judy & Uncle John with "Nannie" ~ our home,
for "appetizers".... fun fun evening. Then we can "chat" on "special families...~love"

We saved time to go see Clayton at work.
He is a hoot... combined with these two special family members...
a "mess". So, then a "chat" on fun....

Clayton is telling them about the "game" ~
he saw his favorite basketball team ever ~ for the first time today
up close and personal ~ The UNC~ ACC Game on Friday~ yes, he did...
Good for you "Clayton" ~ you deserve some special times before
"Basic Training"

that brings up "worry..."

He was so "excited....." about his day.
We all love UNC Tarheels ~ gosh, that is where I'm from.
And, we like the "Yankee's baseball too" ~ yes, that is where David got his start.
We then would "chat" about "joy..."

Then maybe, we can talk about "friends"....
A minute of "cut up" ~ a "hug" from Jim.
He has enlisted too... they will be in the Army National Guard
somewhat together ~ although not in the same places.

No more Chick-Fil-A cut up then...

Nick Pallace, (another Clayton friend) ~ you be nice to this "music major" ~
yes, they can both "sing".... really "sing"...
Nick knows "Simon Cowell" ~ but that's a story for another day. So, then we can
"chat" on "familiarities"...

Now, this post... with pictures out of order.
Friday was a very special day, Thursday too
and Saturday as well. All for different reasons.

All filled with "emotion" ~ different yet the same...

Friday ended with a meal together at "Urban Flats" ~ with our out of town company ~
my "Mom's" Brother & his wife (I was born on her birthday...).
They got to meet some of the special "village" gals... that was a treat.
Glad we "bumped into you girls" ~ they are kind of crazy ~ like me.

Don't know where I'd be without "friends & family" ~ don't guess I would
know how to love you... if they hadn't loved me first.
Thank You for the inspiration ~ they all freely give ~!

I can truly say today ~ i understand emotions..."I get it..." yes, all of it.
I completely understand
what makes the "world go round...".
I'm thankful for all the pieces, each day.

A few "wishes" though ~ that Theresa could come visit...
if she lived closer. Glad to hear from her...

That I meet Deborah ~ The Feathered Nest...

For today, though another emotional feeling of "time well spent" ~ I'll enjoy the "boys" ~ cook something special for them... miss "Lindsey" being closer to home...
send an email to "Stacey" ~ that special Niece...
enjoy the rainy in Georgia... lazy day.

"For every person who doubts you, tell you~ you will fail,
try twice as hard to prove them wrong."

thankful... ~one vintage hag

The Charm House & Her Sister, Sonya came shopping... yea~!

Exciting day at the "village" ~ I went in late, came home early ~
"what a life..."
that usually isn't my mode on Fridays ~ I'm usually there all day... you know I love
"Fridays...."
Was excited to see "The Charm House" today ~ that'd be Yvette ~ and
she brought my long ago friend Sonya, her sister... we hung out
a lot during our "wilder years" in middle & early high school.
Boy, have we both grown up a lot....since then...
That's not all ~ we had visits from "Jeannie" & "Krista" & "Cindy & Sandy"...
and our Police Officer Friend, "Linda"... Busy exciting day ~ I love those~!
So, I am planning "The Charm House" post for tomorrow morning...I adore
her blog, all kinds of tips, all kinds of learning, gosh she has it all ~ and with lots
and lots of "faith" ~ got to admire that alone. Kathy ~ Country Chintz will be excited that
she was in today.
you know I have company coming in an hour ~ got to get busy with
my part of our "early meal~!"
One last thing though... a little birdie told me that "Michelle" ~ yes, Mmg at the
shop has a new blog ~ I'm so excited...
I can't wait to hear about her new "journey" ~
we all want to read up on that.
Yes, she does have much going on outside the "village"~ and a full time nurse in the neonatal unit job too...
So, hurry... tell us the "blog address" so we can find you and read about
your "life and exciting times" ~ I know you have MUCH cool stuff to share...

I'll be back first thing tomorrow... I promise... ~one vintage hag
